Speed-Dial a Skype Contact (Windows)
You can dial any of your Skype Contacts directly from the phone's keypad using a Speed-Dial key sequence.
First, in Skype, right click on a Skype contact and select "Set Speed Dial". Enter any two digit number as that contact's Speed-Dial code, for example, "11". Then when you want to call this contact, enter the speed-dial code on the phone's keypad and press
key to place the call.
For example, dial: 11
Just assign a different two-digit Speed-Dial code for each Skype contact you will want to call from the phone keypad.

Audio Settings in Skype/Windows
Windows will normally recognize the USB-P8D Phone as the default audio device when you plug it into a USB port on your computer. You should then be able to use it for Skype conversations without changing any settings.
However, you may want to specify the USB-P8D Phone for Skype audio only, while using your PC soundcard for other audio(music, etc):
- Go to Windows Start --> Settings --> Control panel --> Sounds and audio devices
- Go to "Audio" tab and select your PC's sound card as Sound playback default device.
- Go to "Voice"' tab and select your PC's sound card as Sound playback default device.
- In the Skype window, go to Tools --> Options --> Sound device and select "USB Audio Device" for "Audio in" and "Audio out" (do not use "Windows default device").
See USB Sound Device Settings for detailed instructions.
SkypeMate
SkypeMate is the Windows driver for the USB-P8D Phone. It must be installed and running to allow the keypad work with Skype. The Skypemate icon in System Tray will show its status:
Green- Connected and running properly.

Red- USB-P8D Phone is not connected properly. Unplug and reconnect USB cable. Also make sure the unit is connected directly to a USB port on your computer- do not connect through an unpowered USB hub.
Grayed out - Make sure Skype is running. If Skype is running and you still see the gray icon, see Allowing SkypeMate Access to Skype.
You can adjust the speaker and microphone settings of the phone in SkypeMate's control window. Double click the
icon in system tray to bring the control window into view.
